Obituary of Russell J. Mooney

Russell “Russ” J. Mooney, age 78, of Candler, FL passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018. He was born in Cleveland, OH on August 28, 1940. He met and married Nancy Clemence, they were married for 48 years and had 5 children. Russ retired from the Marion County School System Technical Services. He enjoyed local youth sports and golfing.

 

He is survived by his wife Nancy Mooney; daughters Cindy Chambers, Candy Wisdom, Joyce Cooper and Melissa Batterbee; son Rick Mooney; several beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Arlene Ballash and Dorothy Seifert; brothers Bill Mooney and Bob Mooney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

The family is planning a celebration of life for a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Ted and Diane Brandley Hospice House or the building fund at Christ Lutheran Church in memory of Russell “Russ” J. Mooney.
