Obituary of Stanley Joel Cliett

SUMMERFIELD – Stanley Joel Cliett, 82, passed into God’s hands Sunday, September 30, 2018.

Born on a tobacco farm in Broxton, GA he was the son of the late Joel Willie Bert Cliett and Lilly Mae (Hester) Cliett. He was one of 11 children.

Stanley has resided in the Summerfield area for nearly 50 years. He was the Purchasing Director for Townley Manufacturing by whom he was employed with for over 45 years. He enjoyed the farm lifestyle and could light up a room with his smile. He was a man with a generous heart whose impact on the community and manufacturing industry was immeasurable.

Besides his parents, Stanley was predeceased by his loving wife of 34 years, Audrey Carole (Ray) Cliett. He also was predeceased by his companion Nancy Storey.

 

Stanley is survived by his daughters, Carrie Cribb and her husband L. B. of Summerfield; Cindy Ploski of Belleview; his five grandchildren; Brandi Clavette and her husband Steven of Summerfield, Joshua Ellis and his wife Christine of Ocala, Joel Ploski of Ocala, Sarah Russell and her husband Joshua of Belleview and Cassie Cribb of Summerfield. He also had nine great grandchildren and a brother, Jimmy Cliett of Byron, GA. What is the world’s loss is heavens gain.  

 

The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held at The Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 5946 SE Robinson Rd., Belleview on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM.

Services will be held on Friday, Oct 5, 2018 at 10 AM at the United Christian Church of Candler. Burial will follow in Candler, Cemetery, Candler, FL
