Obituary of Edward J. Sanchez
Edward J. Sanchez, 91, at rest September 7, 2018, with his family at his side. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Dorothy, née Misheck; additionally survived by his children John (Marie), Marianne (John) Gallagher, Thomas (Lisa), James (April); along with 12 grandchildren; he is also survived by his brother Louis; sisters Virginia, and Rose; and many nieces and nephews.
Edward is a WWII Army veteran and was also known as "Breezy Miller" in the early days of the Chicago rodeo circuit enjoying many accolades until an injury sidelined his rodeo career. When Dot and Ed were first married they were sent to Hartford, CT, where they enjoyed The VW Nutmeg Club and traveling around the East coast. When living in Chicago he worked in the real estate industry for many years. He was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan, bluegrass aficionado, and avid golfer. Ed achieved two hole-in-one’s, first in 1989 and again in 2000. With family and friends, Ed enjoyed many rounds of golf upon retirement to The Villages, FL, in 2003.
Funeral Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5323 East County Road 462, Wildwood, FL on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. Honors will be rendered at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Av., Bushnell, FL 33513, at 1 p.m. Sentiments may be left online at www.hiers-baxley.com.
