Obituary of Daniel James Alvey

Daniel James Alvey, 62, of Belleview, Florida passed away August 17, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Vicki Alvey for 31 years.

Dan was born in Port Chester, New York to James and Angela Alvey. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Belleview, FL and very chartable within his community. He owned and operated Advanced Drywall, a construction business in Marion County. Dan was an avid hunter and enjoyed the great outdoors.

Dan will be deeply missed by his wife Vicki and daughters, Jessica Alvey-Hairston and her husband Earlie Hairston of Land O’ Lakes, FL and Gretchen  Alvey-Shackelford and her husband Brandon Shackelford of Rocky Mount, NC, his parents James and Angela  Alvey of  Belleview , FL, brother, Louis Robert Alvey and his wife, Vickie of Lynchburg, VA, sister, Loretta A Montalto of Belleview, FL grandchildren: Gabriel Ramirez, Analeise Ramirez, Leisl Hairston,  Naomi Shackelford and nephews: Daniel Alvey, Louis Alvey, Zachery Alvey, Thomas Alvey and  Dominic Alvey along with several great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 9:00AM - 10:00AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM and reception at 11 am.   Interment will be at Good Shepherd Memorial Garden, Ocala, Florida.
