Obituary of Daniel Porzondek

Daniel Porzondek, (Uncle Nad, Danny Boy) was born August 24, 1979 to Harry and Darlene Porzondek at Holy Cross Hospital in Detroit, MI.  Danny attended Algonac/Marine City schools in Michigan until he moved to Florida with his family. Danny graduated from Lake Weir High School in 1998.  

 

After High School Dan worked in the construction trades, primarily roofing and dry wall for 15 years.  Danny’s favorite activities revolved around fishing, especially in the Gulf. Danny loved children and the children seemed to gravitate toward him. Danny had a strong belief in family and was always the first to volunteer when anyone needed help.  In addition to fishing and family Danny enjoyed hunting, 4 wheeling and most anything to do with the water. Danny possessed an adventurous nature that was infectious to all who knew him. There was never a challenge too large and he never ceased to amaze family and friends by performing acts that most would not believe.  Dan may have coined the phrase, “Watch this, hold my beer!” Danny left this world on August 8, 2018 at 38.

 

Coping with his loss are parents Harry and Darlene Porzondek, sisters Carlene (Scott) Altenburg of Michigan, Renee (Dean) Carrier of Michigan, Candace (Jim) Smith of Englewood, Florida, Bobbi (Mark) Caruso of Fruitland Park, Florida, Marilyn (Anthony) Horky of Michigan and numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his older brother, Harry Adam Porzonek Jr.

 

Danny will leave an empty void in the hearts of all who knew him.
