Dad
I know it was time for you to leave, you fought a good fight. You were tired and I watched the sparkle in your eye leave with each passing day, week, month.
The heart attack that took you was more than you could handle. I admire your strength, Dad. If I had to deal with Parkinson's for over 15 years, I may not have handle it with the dignity and class that you did. You never complained, simply kept trying to not be a burden to us. I know it was hard, Dad. You had your good days and bad, and it got harder to do even the simple things we take for granted like speak and walk. But I want to acknowledge that I was a witness to your STRENGTH. You will always be my hero because you showed me the importance of being kind and to treat people they way you want to be treated. You instilled in me to be honest and genuine, to believe in myself, to chase my dreams. You were there every time I needed a hand to hold during disappointment. Your hand was there to gently push me to be better, be stronger and to be all I can be. Thank you for my college education, I know I made you proud and I know how important that was to you. I appreciate that you gave me that opportunity. I thank you for supporting me with my crazy idea to be my own boss and start a business. We knew it would be hard but you watched me, supported me and gave me words of encouragement for the last 25 years. I love you daddy, for all those words of encouragement and lessons in life that I learned from you. You are a part of me, you will live on through me and I promise to pass on those lessons to your grand kids. You are in my heart always... thanks for the good stuff...I'll never forget... I love you to the moon and back
Love Susan
Hey, how's the fishing up there?
