Obituary of Thomas E. Leonard

Thomas E. Leonard, 83, of The Villages, FL, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at The Villages Regional Hospital.  Born on July 11,1934 in Chicago, IL to the proud parents of John & Thelma (Van Fosson) Leonard, Thomas was a retired Science Professor, who taught primarily at Concordia University in Milwaukee, WI.  He received his Doctorate Degree from the University of Iowa and he was known as “The Professor” here in The Villages.  His true passion was teaching and he loved to play basketball.  Survivors include his beloved wife of 23 years, Karen; his sons: Jonathan & Priscilla Leonard and Steven & Karen Leonard; his daughter, Joanne & John Bentley; his two sisters: Joan Irvine & Audrey Oswald; along with 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.  A Private Service will be held at a later date and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas’ honor to a charity of choice.
