Obituary of Rizalinda Herrera Reyes

Rizalinda Reyes, 70 years old and affectionately known as “Linda” by friends and family and “Lola” by her grandchildren, passed away peacefully in her home on June 21, 2018.

 

She was born in Quezon City, Philippines on December 30, 1948 and called Ocala, FL home for the past 33 years. Rizalinda retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs after 27 years of dedicated service to the Government of the United States of America, as a Registered Nurse. Rizalinda worked in both Gainesville and Ocala during her career.

 

Rizalinda had a sweet tooth and loved good pastries. She enjoyed sewing, watching romantic and mystery movies, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and dear companion Edward Teddy. She had a quick-wit, an infectious laugh, and a smile that lit up any room.

 

 

She is survived by her three sons Carlo, Arman, and Jason and daughter-in-love Heather and four grandchildren Haylee, Amber, Lucas and Aimee. All of whom live in Ocala and brought joy to her life.

 

After being a young widow and raising three young boys on her own, she will finally be reunited with her cherished husband Clemente Castro Reyes and her dear parents Lucas and Silveria Herrera.

 

Memorial service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services at 11 am on Saturday, June 30, 2018.
