Obituary of Charles Ralph Hagmaier

Charles R. Hagmaier, 75, passed away suddenly in Summerfield, Florida this last Friday, June 8, 2018.  He was born September 16, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA to Charles G. and Rose A. Hagmaier.  Chuck graduated from North Allegheny High School in the Class of 1960. He received an engineering degree from Penn Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, and then went on to volunteer with the Air National Guard where he polished his technical skills.  He joined Union Switch and Signal in Pittsburgh and worked 39 years as an electrical engineer before retiring in 2004 to Florida.  Chuck loved Pittsburgh’s sports teams, especially the Steelers, who kept him tied to the ‘Burgh. Golf has been his passion for many years, and he enjoyed playing in the courses that the Del Webb community is built around. Chuck leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Marilyn Libb Hagmaier.  In addition, his survivors are a 98-year-old aunt, Gladys Choura who resides in Shaler, PA; two children, Charles Mitchell Hagmaier of Bellefonte, PA, Annette (Zoran) Nedeljkovic of Newtonville, MA; and two beloved grandsons, Milos and Aleksandar.  A mid-September memorial service is being planned.  Donations may be made in his name to New Covenant United Methodist Church, 3470 Woodbridge Dr., The Villages, FL 32162.
