Obituary of Otis Ted Holly

Otis Ted Holly, 85, of Silver Springs, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018.  Ted was born in Lynne, FL to James and Beatrice Holly and lived here all his life.  He was a US Navy Veteran and published a book about his experiences during the Korean War, “Three Years Aboard a Navy Destroyer”.  He also worked as a soil scientist and geologist.  Ted enjoyed geneology and ancestry research. 

He is survived by his daughter Lauren Holly of Ocala, son Eric Holly of Lynne, FL, and daughter Theresa Weaver of Ocala, four grandchildren; Joseph Weaver, Cory Weaver, Reyna Holly, and Lindsay Holly, and a sister Fay Rogers of Ocklawaha, FL.  Ted was predeceased by his wife Carolyn Holly (2010), and his brother Syd Holly (1998).  A memorial service will be held at Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church on Saturday, June 16^th, at 11:00am.
