Dasie L. Ansardi, aka “Grandma Dasie” to all, was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She departed this world to her heavenly home on the evening of Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the age of 79. Dasie was born to Clyde and Viola Jones on May 22, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
In the mid to late 80s, Dasie moved to Ocala, Florida, to enjoy the tranquil hometown feel that Ocala had to offer. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Dasie. She loved to play the “dice game” with family and friends, help out with arts and crafts, unravel yarn for Susie’s endless crochet projects, and watch Wheel of Fortune. She held a hefty investment in the Coca-Cola Company with her vast collection of Coke memorabilia.
Dasie was a woman of few words whose facial expressions would say it all. The greatest joy in her life were the children that she was always surrounded by as her eyes would light up like a shining star in the midsummer night sky. Through the years, she grew to enjoy many genres of music due to the multiple age groups that enveloped her. However, she never lost her love for Elvis.
Dasie is now rejoicing in Heaven with her father, mother, many brothers and sisters, and her son, Jerry Ansardi.
Her infectious smile will be missed here on Earth by her brother and his spouse, Wesley (Bonnie) Jones of Hensley, Arkansas; her children and spouses Ginger (Rodger) Baer of Punta Gorda, Florida, Susan Davidson of Ocala, Florida, Joseph (Michelle) Ansardi of Central, South Carolina, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services on Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala.
