Obituary for Harold Daniell Holcombe

Harold “Hal” Holcombe, 85, of Belleview, Florida, passed away April 21, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Gail Holcombe for 25 years.

Harold was born on July 9, 1932 in Buchanan, Georgia a son of the late Lawrence and Mildred (Daniell) Holcombe. He was a veteran of the US Army.  Prior to his retirement he was a member of the Georgia State Patrol.  He enjoyed playing softball with the Golden Seniors Softball Club of Ocala.  His family was everything to him.

Harold is survived by his wife, Gail Holcombe and daughters, Joy Anna Zager and her husband Alan of Atlanta, GA, Jody Duffey and her husband Charles of Ocala, FL and step-daughters, Lynda Miller and her husband Bob of Longwood, FL and Laura Harrison of Gainesville, FL and step-daughter-in-law, Rebecca Harrison of Ocala, FL.  He had 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Gloria Marie Holcombe, son, John Holcombe and step-son, Rick Harrison.

Friends may gather on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview, FL 34420 followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. Condolences may be left at Hiers-Baxley.com.
