Obituary of Theodore A. Kuzemka

Theodore (Ted) A. Kuzemka, 81, of The Villages, Florida and formally of Trenton and Detroit, Michigan, passed away quietly on April 21, 2018.

Ted was born on May 30, 1936 in Donora, Pennsylvania to John August Kuzemka and Anna Rose Kuzemka (Tomajiko).  He was married to Marjorie Kay Kuzemka (Young).

 

He was a proud member of the United State Marine Corp and served during the Korean War.  Ted worked as a salesman for AAA for over 35 years, touching many lives with his personal dedication to his clientele.  He also worked 25 years as a Chief Inspector for the State of Michigan Boxing and Wrestling Commission.  Ted had the privilege to meet many famous athletes such as Muhammad Ali, Tommy (The Hitman) Hearns, Andre the Giant, and Hulk Hogan, just to name a few.

Ted had a love for fishing, the outdoors and playing cards with family and friends.  His sense of humor was always on and could make anyone smile.

Ted is proceded in death by his parents, wife Marjorie, brother John and sister Johanna.  He is survived by his daughters Teresa Balestrieri, Catherine Spevetz and his son James Kuzemka along with their spouses. Ted has four grandchildren - Annett Mejia, Anthony Balestrieri, Alexandra and Max Spevetz, a great granddaughter, Olivia Mejia and another grandchild expected in August.

 

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL 32159 with a reception to follow the Memorial Service
