Obituary of David R. Cardona

David R. Cardona, 79, of Ocala, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018.  David was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to Rafael and Isolina Cardona.  He moved to Ocala in 2006 from Puerto Rico.  David was a drafting teacher at Miguel’s Such Vocational School in Puerto Rico.  He enjoyed gardening, joking, and spending time with his family.  His face lit up every time he saw his grandkids.  David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Luisa Rodriguez, sons David Cardona and Rafael Cardona, daughter Marisol Rodriguez, and five grandchildren; Moises and Jesus Cardona, and Angelica, Mariangie, and Javier Rodriguez.  He is also survived by siblings Noemi Cardona and Hector “Quique” Cardona.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018 with family receiving friends beginning at 2:00pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL  34470 (352)-629-7171.  Online Condolences may be expressed at www.hiers-baxley.com.  A special thanks to the 5^th floor staff at Munroe Regional Medical Center for their kindness and caring.
