Obituary of Jimmy R. Polk

 

Jimmy R. Polk, 82, of Ocala, FL passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018.  Jimmy was born in Trenton, FL to Charles Lester and Emma Lee Laird Polk.  He was a lifelong resident of central Florida.  Jimmy retired from Marion County Sheriff’s Department in 2000 with over 20 years of service.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Vivian Suellen “Susie” Polk in 2012, and a sister Mary Greene.  Survivors include his daughter Lee Ellen Dukes of Orlando, FL, son Barry and wife Anne Polk of Chesapeake, VA, 6 grandchildren; Amber Dukes, Christopher (Heather) Dukes, Kyle, Seth, Kendall, and Grady Polk,  and one great grandson Jaxon Dukes.  Jimmy will be interred privately in Ocala.  Those wishing to honor Jimmy’s memory are invited to make a donation to Hospice of Marion County.
