Obituary of Salvatore A. Ferro

Salvatore "Sal" A. Ferro, 89, of The Villages, FL, passed peacefully on March 19th after a period of failing health. Sal was born and raised in East Boston, MA, son of the late John and Carmela (Vassallo) Ferro. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953 and worked tirelessly to support his family until he was 71 years old. Sal moved from Bridgewater, MA to The Villages in 2000, fulfilling his life-long dream of retiring to Florida.

Sal leaves his devoted wife of 49 years, Thelma (Mucci) Ferro and their 5 children: Michael and his fiancée Krissy of New Boston, NH, Maria DeLellis and her husband Michael of Bridgewater, MA, Christopher and his wife Sherri of Melbourne, FL, Matthew and his wife Alison and 2 grandchildren, Jodee and Daniel of Avon, MA and Thomas of The Villages, FL, as well as many extended family and friends. Sal was the brother of the late Francis, Anthony, Nancy, Carmela, Vincent, Mario, John, Anna and Rita. 

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages at 8:30 AM. Burial will be at a later date in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
