Obituary of Florence Delores Edgar

Florence Delores Edgar, 88, of Summerfield, Florida passed away March 16, 2018 at Life Care Center of Ocala, Ocala, Florida.

She was born on September 21, 1929 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey a daughter of the late James and Viola (Matthews) MacPherson. Florence was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Summerfield, FL. She was a retired CAN Home Health Aid and moved to Summerfield from Tampa, FL in 1982.  She worked for the State of Florida Guardian Ad Litem Program also.   

Florence will be deeply missed by her daughter, Karen  Page of Ocala , FL, Mary Jane Burns of Reseda, CA, Elizabeth  Campbell Carter of Tampa, FL and sons, Robert  Matthews of Tampa, FL and Tony  Nova of FL. She has 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  She was preceded in death her parents, husband, Claude Edgar and sister, Catherine Martowiczs and brothers, Peter and Robert Matthews.

The family will receive friends at St. John Lutheran Church, 10495 Sunset Harbor Road, Summerfield, FL 34491 on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 2:00PM - 3:00PM. Funeral services will follow at 3:00PM.
