Obituary of Lois Booth

Lois House Booth Born - February 6th 1929 Passed away - October 14th 2008 She is survived by her three children; Daughter - Catherine Colvard Son - Travis Roy McRae Adopted son - Joseph Booth Lois Booth was loved by all her family, having ten grandchildren; Robert Lovell, Sheree Young-Annen, Lois Nygard, Melinda Dombin, Buzzy McRae, Brady McRae, Jason McRae, John Wayne Hudson, Johnny Berea, Renea Booth. Having over 20 great grand children and one great-great grandson, Trevor Nygard. Lois House Booth was born in Hamilton Ohio and was one of 18 Siblings. There were many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lois Booth was a devout believer and faithful servant of the Lord, Jesus Christ since 1952. Lois was introduced to the goodness of God when Sister Brooks knocked on her door and told her about the joy and peace in believing in God. Lois continued in her walk with God and became an evangelist, traveling the countryside sharing the word of God with her ministry. Lois was preaching a revival in Florida when she met and married her soul mate, Samuel Percy Booth of Cedar Key Florida. Together they shared in the love and happiness of God and they pastured a church in Otter Creek Florida for over thirty years. Although Lois Booth developed the memory debilitating disease of Alzheimer's, she never lost her ability to praise the lord. A few days before her death, her grand-daughter sitting by her side discussed displeasure with God for him allowing such a horrible disease to befall such a wonderful woman who was a servant of God for so many years. In garbled words, Lois scolded her grand-daughter and then clearly said "it's all right". Lois further uttered the clear words "I'm ready to go home". When her grand-daughter asked Lois if she was wanting to go home to Florida, Lois replied "no, I'm going home". Lois Booth was residing in the Bretthaven Nursing Home in Robbinsville North Carolina as a result of the Alzheimer's disease. Her daughter Catherine Colvard overseen her care and was by her side, holding her hand when she crossed over to the other side and into the awaiting arms of her beloved husband Samuel Booth. They now walk hand in hand along the golden streets of heaven, as the promise given by Jesus Christ saying "I go to prepare a place and the streets are made of gold. Let it be said that Lois House Booth was a devoted servant of God and was not afraid of death but welcomed the reward she knew was waiting. The bible says to rejoice when a righteous man dies but weep when a child is born. For the righteous man has a crown of glory waiting in the eternal life. For the loved ones left behind, we find comfort knowing that Lois Booth is in the heavenly place with God. Psalms 23rd
